[ACCI-CAVIE] André FLAHAUT the Minister of State, Minister of Defence (1999-2007), Honorary President of the Belgian House of Representatives and champion of a just, balanced, respectful and mutually beneficial North-South partnership, received Guy GWETH, Executive of ACCI, and Christian NYOMBAYIRE, Head of the Public Affairs Department of the African Centre for Competitive Intelligence in the Belgian Federal Parliament on 19 May 2022.
It is for an analysis of the technical contribution of the African Centre for Competitive Intelligence in Standardization, a more harmonious development and a better competitiveness of the Africa-Europe axis that André FLAHAUT, assisted by Dr Loïc NICOLAS his adviser, received the two representatives of ACCI for more than an hour, at the Belgian Federal Parliament in Brussels.
The Estates General of Francophone Economic Intelligence
Guy GWETH took the opportunity to obtain the support of the Belgian authorities in the organization, on 19-20 October 2023, of the Estates General of the Francophone Economic Intelligence (EGIEF) in Brussels.
In addition to the 24/7/7 monitoring conducted in 12 key sectors of the African economy, ACCI stands out from the existing players around the Africa files of the European Commission by its services in terms of field studies, production of monographs, due diligence, project audits, 360° risk management and the implementation of strategic intelligence systems adapted to the African context.
The ACCI disruptive role in a changing world
“We tend to look at Africa from our experience and our cultural devices without making effort to understand, in its variety, the daily life of the women and men of this continent. Therefore, we ignore local realities and the rough terrain”, the Minister of State acknowledged.
For André FLAHAUT, “the European strategy in Africa has become an empty shell that some Member States, former colonial powers, like to circumvent or even ridicule in order to better serve their own interests and their small calculations.” This gives full meaning to the disruptive role of ACCI in a changing world.
