    • 27 February 2023

[ACCI-CAVIE] The industrial energy group Sonelgaz has the ambition to carry out a vast project concerning the installation, in Algeria, of thousand (1.000) charging stations intended for electric cars. The following lines expose you the details relating to this subject.

The new specifications, governing the import of new cars, imposes on dealers the obligation to import a quota of so-called ecological machines. In order to convince motorists to harmonize with a modern automotive industry in the era of ecology, Algeria is preparing to launch work on a large number of charging stations for electric cars.

A good news and not the least for the blue planet! For a future favorable to both its mobility and its ecology and without fuel, the main culprit of air pollution, the Algerian government is indeed counting on the integration of cars that run on electricity. A plan to which it attaches then with diligence and determination.

Algeria / import of electric cars: a strategy that is already taking shape!

This Tuesday, February 21, 2023, Mohamed Arkab, in charge of the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MEM), chaired a meeting bringing together all the directors of wilayas of the sector. It aims to assess the implementation of the action plan of the energy field. In addition to the strategy for its development.

This is indeed an information reported by the generalist Arabic-language daily Ennahar. During this meeting, the Minister said that the incumbent in the field of supply of electricity and gas in Algeria, Sonelgaz, plans to proceed with the gradual realization of one thousand (1,000) charging stations for electric cars.

A figure that the Algerian territory should reach during the year 2025. This is what the same official said. According to the details of the member of the government, installation work of two hundred (200) stations are planned during this year in the four corners of the country.
